Bar Light by Polygon will create a plane light with fixed width (default is 30mm) for each of the selected polygons. It is often used to simulate LED lights at the bottom or top of the shelf. The direction of the light is auto aligned to the normal direction of the face.
To use it, first select some polygons, then press the button.
Combine the Click, Ctrl, and Shift buttons to adjust the location of the light.
- Click: center.
- Ctrl + Click: local max.
- Shift + Click: local min.
Note that the lights is automatically placed 1mm away from the selected polygon. If you want to adjust it, use the Reference Coordinate System as Local, Pivot mode as Pivot Point Center, then move the light along the Z axis.
